Jon's right on. I haven't found a need for the LDA since ASNA's Call/Parm
was available on the S/36.

That what it's there for.
No it isn't Albert. It is there as a nasty reminder of the bad old days
when we couldn't even pass parms. Actually the days when one program
couldn't even call another directly without going via the command
language.
I just don't understand why anyone would use it today when there are so
many better and less error prone alternatives.
