If a commercial offering is acceptable, you might take a look at our RPG2SQL Integrator product. Site is http://www.rjssoftware.com - or call me at 888.rjs.soft toll-free. You have full read-write capability in real-time with any SQL-based database out there.

I'm also in the midst of writing an Open Access handler over our product, so if you are at 6.1 or higher, you can CHAIN/READE to SQL Server. I'll be getting more opcodes supported along the way. It's a free extension to our product. Native RPG code to work with SQL Server!! Do you like the idea?

I need some help guys and gals. How to I connect to SQL Server from the iSeries. I need to send data from iSeries over to SQL Server. I have a store procedure on SQL server that I need to call from the iSeries, then have the SQL Server process the data, then return to me a status flag, I guess back to my RPGLE program. This needs to be programmed in RPGLE, but where do I setup the connection to SQL Server? Also, this job will be running in batch so it will not be running from a windows desktop. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
