a logical file with some input only fields?

No, it's just that I realised there must be some difference as separate DS must be defined and used for input and output. So I thought maybe there could be danger ( future ) in just doing an EVAL. On the other hand EVAL-CORR suggested ( to me ) that there were fields that weren't in both DS. I think I'll stick with Vern's advice and usd EVAL-CORR.
