NoMain can only be used with a module bound to a CL for example or part of a
service program. You could not create a cycleless program until V6R1 when
they added the Main keyword. We can know just say Main(ProcedureName) and
that becomes the main procedure and all the cycle code is not bound to the
program.

It makes the programs smaller and fater.

I'm having a hard time following this discussion because I'm aware of the
NOMAIN
keyword, which we use in service programs, which don't need cycle code.
But I'm
not aware of a "MAIN" keyword. Can somebody clarify?
