The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
also when using zoned numerics under the covers your RPG processing will
convert those to packed, perform your calcs, etc then convert them back to
zoned which is more CPU intensive and less efficient.

Bryce,
I don't think It 'solved' anything, it just moved it to a different
location. True you don't see the messages anymore but casting your fields
in the select just forces a data conversion during the select. In the end
the data is still being converted. If you want to avoid the conversion
try defining the target fields as packed.

I cast all the numeric fields on the select and it solved my issues.
Thanks
