The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

It's right there in the first sentence of the first paragraph, where it
says "parameters are passed to an external function by address."
Right there in black and white and under a topic that makes sense, no less.
I knew I was missing it.
What more do you need?
Not to nitpick, but it would be nice if this was mentioned in the "CREATE
FUNCTION (External Scalar)" documentation in the SQL Reference.
