Dave,

From which release are you upgrading?

Ok - a little progress...

In my job log I can see that the SQL Server mode is being activated for the
failing jobs. I assume it is getting activated for use by the JDBC
connection objects, but in 7.1 it is now also attempting to process
local/native SQL commands!

I see this in the main job:
Job 623026/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.

When I look at the job log for that job I see this:
User Profile = DAVEM
SERVER MODE CONNECTING JOB IS 628311/DAVEM/QDFTJOBD.
CALFILE in *LIBL type *FILE not found.
Cursor CURDAYSB not open.

The SQL Server mode job does not have the main job's LIBL, so it cannot
find any of the files.

This appears to be a new feature/behavior, so hopefully there is a way to
configure it to only service JDBC connections, or to pass a LIBL. I am
going to try SET SCHEMA for now, to see if that will get me around it.

What a way to start a week!
Dave
