I understand what you're saying, but the withdrawing of this test
troubles me even so; as an indication of where the platform is headed.

It is a little bit troubling. I understand that there's some value in certifications. But to be frank, they don't mean that much to me, personally. While I may not be an RPG expert, I continue to develop many new applications, using RPG with the assistance of reference and programmer's guides, along with Midrange List Archives, and an editor that enables me to copy and paste from other applications.
