although gives the appearance of being a collection of varying-length
records is really (other than the where-used information) a set of

Never understood why this stuff was separate from the object anyway.
Makes more sense to me to store it as part of the object itself rather
than as part of a separate object associated with the library
containing the object. Smacks of a work-around solution because some
component owner wouldn't play ball.
