Hi,

We are migrating to V6R1 and a coworker says this code compiles on the

box but not on the new one.


SQL0312 Variable wVar not defined or not usable.

D Parm1 LIKE ( A field in a file declared in the F Specs ) CONST

D wVar S LIKE ( Parm1 )

/FREE
EXEC SQL
SELECT MyField INTO : wVar FROM MyTable
WHERE etc...;


To fix it, wVar was coded like this :
D wVar S LIKE ( A subfield of a global DS )
