Subject: Re: how to send files from Iseries to pc network folder

Scott;

Thanks for your reply.

Simply put, what I'm really wanting is to output a PDF file I created thru
an RPG program, to a pc network folder.

I currently can send the PDF to an IFS folder, for my own use as a
programmer, but now we would like to modify the program so users can send
PDF's to predetermined pc network folders.

By the way the pdf creator was one I used from an article by Giuseppe
Costagliola, which outputs to a ifs folder.

In my earlier email, I referenced the T: drive, since if I was going to
copy/past the pdf to folder Darrell which is a pc network folder, I would
just go there and paste it.
Also, I noticed on displaying the properties of the T: drive, it appears
to be mapped to SWBCApps on 'SWBC-apps' (T:)
If I go to QNTC on ifs, I can find SWBC-APPS. so I was hoping I could
pass my pdf to folder \\SWBC-APPS\SWBCApps\Darrell\

Taking my thinking a little further, I thought if I can create a pdf on
the IFS, maybe I can do to pc folders mapped thru IFS.

Maybe I have this all wrong?

Baring my soul for all the world to see.

Regards,
