Hi John,

We are also a small shop, and after a long time of uncertainty, in which we
were almost blown away from the i, we are now back on it, and currently
developing with Valence, a product of CNXCorp.
We did a proof of concept with it, and it is very promising.
It has has CRUD building possibilitlies, reporting, and also a portal with
built-in security.
You can give the community edition a try for free.

Best regards,
-Arco Simonse

RE: What is the best way to get back to RPG work? (David FOXWELL)

I installed cgidev2 and used RPG to build a simple report via a browser.
It prompts the user for input criteria and emails them a csv file as
output.
Not that big a deal but... since I did that, the powers that be have said
they are going to get me a 'sanctioned' project that will need to be
browser based. They'd like to see some more, starting with a crud type
maintenance program/process.

Hopefully this goes somewhere cuz right now, our shop is Cold Fusion and
and .Net
for the web stuff -- I'm hoping to change that 'paradigm' a little bit
here.

Fyi - currently our shop has 3 rpg developers and 3 pc/web developers.

Hth.
