David,

When Program1 has a procedure pointer to a subprocedure in Program2, it
can call that procedure via the pointer. But Program1 can only use %paddr
for bound calls, so it cannot get the procedure pointer directly; Program2
has to pass the pointer to Program1.

The other way round is quite common ('callback' - <
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Callback_%28computer_science%29>): Program1
calls a generic function (e.g. sorting, parsing XML, etc.), passing a
procedure pointer for specific processing.

Hi everyone.

Can Program1 call Program2 with a procedure pointer as a parameter
to tell program2 which subprocedure of program2 to call?

I think this is impossible as Program1 needs to get the procedure
address of the subprocedures in program2. But, I am often wrong.

Thanks.
