Yes, iText is an awesome Java API.
If you're open to a commercial option, we have wrapped some of the key
iText features into our RPG2PDF product.
You can pretty much replace your output to DDS with output directly to a
PDF page.

Has anyone had any success with Itext?
I wonder if its possible to create a PDF with merging data from the
iseries
with say graphic files on the ifs.
I see the book itext in action second edition by Bruno Lowagie is this a
good resource?
