I get what you are saying. But I'd still wonder if there's someway around that. For example, let's say I write a trigger program on BPCSF/IIM. Now, specs say this trigger has to work regardless of if someone is updating IIM from - a program running in the bpcs environment with the library list all pretty
- UPDDTA with a library list equal to IBM default values for QSYSLIBL and QUSRLIBL.
- Excel spreadsheet connected directly to the file
Now, my trigger program is going to have to strip off the library, no big deal it's a parameter. Then the application has to store a data area with the library list (like INLIBL) in the same data file library (BPCSF) and not the program library (BPCSO) or keep it's job description BPCSJOBD in the data file library so that I can analyze which library list to use.
And no, it's "pick on Vern" days for me. :-)
