It may sound strange in this day and age but some of our business units prefer the green screen to browser based interfaces.

We know we are behind the times in a lot of ways but we're trying to modernize as much as we can.

Subject: Re: Load-All Subfile Performance (Was: "Constant" performance question)

For the past 15 years or so, people have been talking about writing GUI applications instead of 5250 ones.

For the past 10 years, we've been talking about web as the best way to do that.

For the past 5 years or so, the discussion has been much more dire. If we don't stop with the green screen stuff, and start showing modern interfaces, this system is doomed.

I'm certainly NOT trying to offer you a suggestion of *how* to do it.
There are a lot of alternatives out there, and honestly, I've given up caring which one you use. The point is: STOP WRITING GREEN SCREEN STUFF! Good lord, setting standards for new green screen applications?
You've got to be kidding me.
