I can't comment on Scott's programs, but what I've done is downloaded
JExcelApi(.jar), and built RPG
wrappers around the needed/necessary Classes/Methods that will take care
of my spreadsheet builds and
manipulations.

Since all of our reports are executed in batch, we weren't oo concerned
with the JVM boot-up lag.

Subject
Populating cells in an existing EXCEL spreadsheet.

I do know that Scott Klement has written code to write to an excel
spreadsheet via an RPG program.

I want to populate an existing spreadsheet's cells with totals that are
being created by an RPG program.

Should I still use Scott's program? I am looking for the easiest way.
Thanks.
