Re: edit code as variable in %editc()

As previously pointed out, %editc requires that the edit code value be a
character constant.

If you want to use a variable edit code value the Convert Edit Code
(QECCVTEC) API documented at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/topic/apis/QECCVTEC.htm
and
the Edit (QECEDT) API documented at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/topic/apis/QECEDT.htm may
be of interest to you. These do require just a bit more work than the RPG
builtin though.
