Not totally true! I have edited DDS source in SEU and changed a record
to a window numerous times in order to convert a record to a window (and
vice versa). You must, however, get the correct keyword(s) added for
the window size, and make sure that your fields don't exceed those
bounds. Conversely, you should remove the window-specific keywords if
you change a window to a record. I typically do this with a copy/paste
from another window or record in the same file that I want to make this
one like and just correct the name. Of course, if you are working with
subfiles, the record definitions absolutely must be placed in the proper
order in the DDS.
If, however, you are referring to the idea that you can only 'get to
that screen' at SDA record creation time...well...you would indeed
appear to be correct! ^_^
