Thanks...I figured that out with your help. Interestingly, it looks like you
can only set/change that at SDA record creation time. It didn't seem to
matter if I put the WINDOW keyword on the SFLCTL record, but when SDA did
it, it worked.

yes...when you create a new record format in SDA you'll see this prompt:
New record . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TEST Name

Type . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . WDWSFL RECORD, USRDFN
SFL, SFLMSG
WINDOW, WDWSFL
PULDWN, PDNSFL
MNUBAR

the default is RECORD...

Thanks,

Oh! A keyword in SDA? IOW, I won't see it in the DDS, right?

Trying to display a subfile in a window. I see (in SDA) the association
between the SFL and SFLCTL/WINDOW records if I have one subfile in a
display
file. I don't see the association for the second subfile in a display
file.
Is this working as designed? Probably a newbie dspf question. Give me a
communication program to write and I'll be all set. Sometimes the green
screen I/O stuff gives me fits. Thanks.,,
