The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I like Scott's idea of using a separate PF for a DS, but they really

could setup the CL to auto-create the PF, but that seems like more
overhead.
Working in the usual way of having separate libraries for database
objects and programming objects, I have found it useful to put some PFs
in the program library for situations like this. Similarly for files
referenced on OPNQRYF FORMAT(). (What's that I hear from the back row?
Twenty-first century? Nyah, I can't hear you.) Of course, I try hard
to make it obvious that these things may be "files", but they are not
containers for data; lack of a member is one such hint. My program
library also has files which are duplicated at runtime to QTEMP.
Do "they" also object to an arrangement like this?

Terry.
