What I am probably going to do is just pass in the parms and let the
procedure lookup the record itself and then the null date is not an issue.
I like Scott's idea of using a separate PF for a DS, but they really
cringe about adding additional objects for that purpose. I suppose I
could setup the CL to auto-create the PF, but that seems like more
overhead.

I argued for the 0001-01-01 date for null capable dates or
when we need a date to be "null", it was a combination of
management and the programmatic staff that made the decision
as a group and as you can see, I lost :)

I know how you feel. But in 2010, I SHALL get a service program into
production!
