Hi
It looks like youre compiling to V5R2, but the error message is from a
later release.
Cheers,
Martin

Subject: Numeric value defined as 63 digits actually greater than 63
digits?
Folks:
This probably has an obvious answer ... but I'm only on my first cup of
coffee ... so you'll have to take it easy on me.
I've got a field defined in a qualified data structure that's 63 digits
with 0 decimal positions ... but when I compile it, I get the following
error:
447 D sequenceValue DS qualified
448 D exists N
449 D start 63 0
450
*RNF0503 20 449 000142 Length of numeric item START is greater than
63 digits;
defaults to 63.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious ... but what is it?
Thanks!
david
