Are you creating from the "red" page on the IRS site? (btw-page 1 of that doc talks about a $50 fine (per info return) for using that form which is not scannable for anything other than web input)

If the red page, is your AFP printer defined for color?
This info on the AFP Viewer settings may help

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&dc=DB520&dc=D900&dc=D800&dc=DA900&dc=DA800&q1=color+overlay+printing+AND+AS400KBXXYYZZRCH&uid=nas1f6ce4719a31214d68625710f005d87da&loc=en_US&cs=UTF-8&lang=all

this is to get latest (2008) afp viewer
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=95&uid=psd1P4000360

note: can't put my finger on it, but one of the readme's indicated installing a new version does not update your existing AFP printer definitions, and there are steps to do to get them updated.

Subject: Creating a page segment of W2 only shows half of the form.

We have been doing this for years this way, these instructions are straight
from the IBM manual.

We have a PDF of the 2009 W2 from the IRS website.

We have a AFP printer defined on our PC as print to file, output Page
segment. We print the PDF to that file using adobe viewer. We write it to a
shared folder on the as/400.

We then do a CPYFRMPCD to QGPL/AFPRES member AFPRES TRNTBL(*NO). Then
CRTPAGSEG from the AFPRES file.

Then print the page segment from STRAFPU. Get half of the page. Left side
only.

W2 is attached.
