Is this the calling code? I only see one callp. Or do you mean that this
section of code is executed twice? Is this a prototyped program or
procedure?

I am in the process of refreshing my RPG skills using the OJT method. I
have a program that makes 2 calls (CALLP) to another program. The first
call works great. The second call does nothing. Any help will be
appreciated. The code:
C******************************************************
C* Add Record to SQLMSG file *
C******************************************************
C ADDMSG BEGSR
/FREE
DSPLY UPSTEP;
UPDTE = %DEC(%CHAR(%DATE(UDATE:*MDY):*ISO0):8:0);
URCNT = SQLER3;
UMSGID = SQLCODE;
UMTXT = SQLERM;
UPGMID = 'CKWEEK01';
CALLP UPDMSG(UPGMID:UPSTEP:UPDTE:UMSGID:URCNT:UMTXT);
/END-FREE
C ENDSR
