Ahhh, but that what makes life so interesting... If everyone had the same
solution, these forums would be so boring... :-)
Seriously, I really don't know anything about Booth's files, so I thought
that *maybe* an INSERT would be a simple solution, avoiding the coding of an
RPG program (Remember, he just wants to copy FileA into FileB).

But anyway, you are right. Sometimes we just can't see the trees...

Wouldn't this be easily resolved by simply creating a logical over one of
the files? Could be done with one or two source lines, it seems to me, and
almost zero overhead. YMMV. You could also create an SQL view (same
thing,
really) if available via one simple statement.
