I don't use QRPLOBJ. I physically delete the object when I compile but it
will still find it and use it. Apparently debugger stores the virtual
address of the object and it does not get invalidated when the service
program is deleted.

What about going into QRPLOBJ and deleting stuff there? Only the stuff
you KNOW you can delete, of course!! That's where things are held that
were changed while they were still "in use", I believe.

Sometimes I try that but it can be a hassle and sometimes it works and
sometimes it doesn't. It is simpler for me to just log off and back on
especially if I have weird things happening.

Are you sure you don't recommend an IPL between compiles?
Maybe even reinstalling the OS?

Why not just reclaim the activation group?

Anytime I working with service program I always log off and back on.
Even

if

physically deleted the system keeps a pointer to the object and runs
that
code if it was debugged.

You recompile the program? Do you reclaim the activation group when
you
recompile? If not, that may be the problem.

I add a few records to the file. Then I recompile the program. Then
I

run

the the command again to delete the user. Every time I follow that
process, I get an error. If I call ADDUSER after the compile, no

error.

There might be another way to recreate it, but that is the only way I

have

been able to do it.
