This was a "what if" scenario in this thread.

Rob had posted this:

Anyone thought of submitting a DCR to be able to assign a date portion
from the left side of the equation? Like,
%month(mydatefield) +=1;
%day(mydatefield) = 20;

Sorry I was wrong, I only read half of the message.
mydatefield = %date(20091031:*ISO)
%month(mydatefield) +=1;

MyDateField stays unchanged, i.e. it is still 20091031!
And %Month() on the left side of the equal sign is not allowed.

Or this scenario:

mydatefield = %date(20091031:*ISO)
%month(mydatefield) +=1;

Now what's in mydatefield? 2009-12-01?

And how does it work in december?
%month(mydatefield) = 12 --> += 1 ??? --> 13 ???
Or will it work correctly?

Does anything else think that
SomeDays = subdt(mydatefield:*days);
is more cryptic than
SomeDays = %day(mydatefield);

Or are they afraid that you'll get confused between %day and the
existing
%days as in
dueDate = SellDate + %days(TermDays);
