I think the way its working right now its ok. Yesterday was definitely an
off day for me. Because I recompiled this morning I can't really tell
what was going on yesterday and I can't reproduce it now either. I
haven't changed any of the compile commands and everything is exactly as I
want it right now. I don't see all the intermediate sql poop and only see
the code I wrote. This is what I want so I'll leave well enough alone for
now. Thanks for all the help guys. The amount of knowledge on this list
is truly amazing at times.

That's the debug view for the precompiler, you want to add

COMPILEOPT('DBGVIEW(*LIST)')

That is the compile command from WDSC7. They won't let my type *LIST or
*ALL for the DBGVIEW. Sooooo... am I using the wrong compile command or
is this a WDSC limitation?

One very good reason why I always compile with *ALL or *LIST! For the
small additional storage overhead it is not worth sticking with just
*SOURCE.
