Åke,

Since all boxes are at v5r4, any chance that the boxes it
succeeds/fails on are doing something besides TGTRLS(*CURRENT)?

IBM tightened up the rules at v5r3, v5r4. So if I recall correctly,
code that may have compiled at v5r2 wouldn't at v5r3. But I seem to
recall that the rules loosened somewhat at v5r4.

Recently - during a full recompile of the package - we ran into problems with the SQL pre-compiler on some servers but not on others.

The OS level everywhere is 5.4.

The problem is for SQL select statements where the host variable is defined locally in a sub-procedure. The pre-compile errors out with error messages saying that the variable is undefined.

Since the compile works on some systems but not others it seems to me that a PTF must be missing. Cannot find out which one though.

Upgrade to 6.1 is planned but there is no time schedule right now.
