And omissible parameters must be passed (NULL or *OMIT), unless also set as *NOPASS - but all the *NOPASS have to be together at the end.

You'd code options(*omit) on the parameters for the prototype, of course. Is that all you're asking? I don't know what you mean when you say "how would you code the prototype". You'd code the prototype as you always code a prototype, with options(*omit) on the omissible parameters.
