Dear Mr Gibbs
Respectfully........disagree completely. Many RPG shops are looking to replace RPG. EGL may be the replacement. I would like to know the direction that other RPG shops choose to pursue.

Taking this conversation to the EGL list would be wrong. EGL developers aren't concerned with issues faced by RPG developers. And replacing RPG is the most pressing issue for many RPG shops.

Thank you

Actually, it's not relevant. This list is (theoretically) for discussion of RPG programming, not evaluations of other languages.

Discussion of how RPG programs respond to EGL invocations is relevant here.

Technical discussion of EGL would be appropriate in the EGL-i list (http://lists.midrange.com/listinfo/egl-i).

Discussion of pursuing EGL would be appropriate in the EGL list or the MIDRANGE-NONTECH list (http://lists.midrange.com/listinfo/midrange-nontech).
