Hi Peter
We just recently went through a demonstration of EGL on the i-series
(AS/400 etc) to determine if its something that we also should consider

I don't know if you already know of the following web pages

Hi group,

The manufacturer of our GUI is preparing a POC for replacing our current
RPG applications with EGL, in view of possibly moving from the iSeries to
Windows (unfortunately the Philips philosophy is "SAP unless..." and
"Windows unless...").

I'm a consultant in the "iSeries cell" to support the "legacy" applications
which are being phased out.

So if I want to stay on the wagon, I'll need to look into EGL.

Is there any "EGL for RPGLE programmers" book or course available, similar
to the "Java for RPG programmers" one?

Even an "EGL for dummies" would be welcome ;-)

I already downloaded & installed the RBD trial, and had a look at the
tutorials, but these seem to be geared more at people who don't know the
eclipse IDE. I've been using WDSCi since version 5, so I think I can say
that I know how to work in it.

Thanks in advance for any pointers here (although our vendor told us that
pointers are not supported in EGL ;-) )
