What you say has validity. But, I'm saying for simple changes (where you
should test anyway) running a program through CVTRPGSRC is simple and has
short term payback.

If the work is being done then why not make the changes to prepare the
applications for web browsing, too? Make the commitment to create
version 2 for each application, one application at a time. Start with
the smallest/easiest/least significant so that your learning curve is
not quite so visible to everyone. Include the design phase. If they
insist on spending the money, energy, and time then give them some bang
for heir buck!

Get Linoma's tools and convert them as you touch them - then make your
changes. Or run CVTRPGSRC if you can't spend the money - although it is

People have to justify the ROI on this kind of thing - there is no ROI
to just doing things that work just fine, for the sake of a theory.

Trying to remember how to do something in RPG/400 instead of RPGLE

slows

me down so long that I wouldn't reply to a post that asked an RPG400
solution. It's worse than trying to remember how to do accounting

My muzzleloader isn't broke. In fact it works fine. I enjoy it.
