Re: Converting Decimal to Hex

Hmmm...I'm confused. I have a packed number (or zoned), and I move it to an
integer field (5U 0). I then take the %Char of the integer to get it into
character format. Then I use cvthc to get the hex. However, when I start
with the number 140, I get F1F4F0. I want 8C. If I use a DS overlay, I get
what I want, but that doesn't seem to me to be the 'right' way.

D SomeDS ds qualified
D SomeChar 2A
D SomeInt 5U 0 overlay(SomeChar:1)

I think cvthc is the most straight forward way.
