It should be quite simple enough to map the data in the flat file to the map
of data in the EDI file. However, you may need to manipulate the data and
type of data if there is some field conversion such as numeric fields needs
to be text and vice/versa.

However, I have no on-hand experience perform EDI task. I just know the
concept and the use of it.

Subject: EDI Questions -- Is Someone Available Offline to Get Me Started?

I have a project from a client to setup EDI. While I understand EDI and how
it should work. The information I have been given from the client isn't
enough for me to get started. Is there someone that would be willing to work
with me briefly off-line to get my feet on the ground and running with it?

I have been given three flat-files and EDI layout documentation. The
documentation doesn't seem to match the file layouts, however. Either I am
misunderstanding something or I am missing something.

Please contact me offline. Any help would be appreciated.
