Correct, it's just another bound call...no performance difference.

The only catch I can think of is common sense when once you think about it....

For any given group of procedures you intend to call via a call back,
they need to have the same interface (number of types of parameters).

It seems to me that it would be just like any other bound procedure call.  The target is already in memory.  I would just be making a call based on an address.
