No, if I understand the question correctly. Your IBM i system won't need an "outside address". Odds are that you already have a router or firewall that has an address exposed to the Internet. That router could be configured to forward HTTP traffic to your IBM i server.

Or you could have any number of routers in between, routing from / to various network segments, so that nobody on the outside would have any idea which "internal" network segment your IBM i server might be on. It could be behind 10 firewalls for all anybody would know.

Your TCP/IP menu also allows you to define multiple addresses for a single NIC.
