I concur on that ... I use a trigger to notify a java server of data updates. Trigger program gets invoked, determines what file it was invoked for, parses the data buffer, and sends the key information to a data queue.

Java server picks up the data queue entry and queries the file for the updated information (based on the key).

My single trigger handles all files and all operations.
