RPG has supported Muli-Occurance Data Structures (MODS) for a long time:

d myMods ds occurs(10)
d fld1 10a
d fld2 20a

for x = 1 to 10;
occur(x);
fld1 = 'HI';
endfor;


RPG IV added support for arrays
d myArray ds dim(10)
d fld1 10a
d fld2 20a

for x = 1 to 10;
fld1(x) = 'HI';
endfor;
