The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I learned something new today.
Take the following program:
D x S 3P 0
D y S 3P 0
/free
*INLR = *On;
Y = 999;
For X = 1 To Y By 1;
EndFor;
Return;
/end-free
'twas ever thus. Works that way in Fortran, PL/I, and
Pascal (off the top of my head), too. When the loop
ends, X = Y + 1, and needs to be sized accordingly.
Sometimes it helps to know a little bit about what
the compiler generated code looks like.
