Re: Use of the TAB key to auto-load a field

Good afternoon list!

I need to enter a list of items in a file. The file has 2 fields: the
FROM field, which will have the item I will type in and the TO field,
which will be whatever value I want. Here is where the challenge comes:

I
need to be able to program the TAB key in a way that when I press the
TAB
key after finishing typing the value in the FROM field, to go to the TO
field and load in it the value I previously typed in the FROM field. I
will have the option to leave it like that or change it if I want.

For example, if I have a FROM field value of "ABC123", when I finished
entering the data and I press the TAB key, I wan the cursor to move to
the
next field (the TO Field) and I want the value in FROM field to be the
new
value in the TO field.

Is this possible? Any examples? Thanks in advance!

I'm not aware of any way to do this solely with DDS, but what about
something like:

A FROM 6 0B 5 11
A CHANGE(01)
A TO 6 0B 5 21
A 02 DSPATR(PC)

combined with:

DoU *In01 = *Off
ExFmt Screen;
If *In01;
To = From;
*In02 = *On;
EndIf;
EndIf;

Kind Regards,

Joe Maguire.
