Well, for a subroutine, it's awfully hard to do
dow ReadFile();
Because subPROCEDURE ReadFile can return a variable, while a subROUTINE
cannot. With a subroutine you're back to the priming call and mainline
call to the subroutine.

About the only think I leave as subroutines are those that are rather
particular about percolating a message up the message stack or some such
animal.
