Program B that populates the display format has a flag that controlsthe

My scenario is the CL issues an OVRDSPF SHARE(*YES),
calls
program A. A then calls B and when it returns, A attempts to use aexpected,
display format that was populated from B.
I tried just doing a READ to the format but as
received a session or device error. I also do not want to display the
format in either program A or B.
