I just reproduced the problem that James reported, on a V5R2 system, by specifying TGTRLS(V4R5M0) ... using the following source code, based on Rob's example (below):

H BNDDIR('QSQCLI') DFTACTGRP(*NO) ACTGRP('QILE') C SETON LR
C RETURN
When I compile this with TGTRLS(*CURRENT) on V5R2, I get the same errors as Rob showed (below).

So, this must be a "bug" or anomaly in the earlier versions of the ILE RPG IV compiler support for BNDDIR on the H-spec.
