Actually, I'm not all that concerned about the error on the customer box, since the program in question doesn't call any CLI APIs directly, and therefore had no need of the *BNDDIR.

I'm just morbidly curious about why everything here with that H-spec compiles just fine (on our V4R4 box) without a single complaint, whether it actually uses the *BNDDIR or not, even though I don't see any such *BNDDIR anywhere on the system.
