create a file of F key options., use one of the last f-keys to launch a window selection box. When the user selects an option, return the selection, close the window and treat it like an F key, This lets you have unlimited functions.
Use the program name as the key to let it be used in other programs.

You could put all of the functions into that mini-system for each program as required.

Heck, you could expand that to do all sorts of things.

Group them into "pairs." works better if you haven't aready used every key, but the idea is the hit a key (F24?) and then a second key and that "pair" key gets you access to the function.

F3 - Exit
F4 - Prompt
F24 followed by F9 - Open orders
F24 followed by F10 - Closed orders
F24 followed by F11 - View Parent Customer

Etc.

If you're really nice you open a popup window with the valid second-stroke keys, or updated the list on the bottom of the screen.

Subject: Running out of function keys

Folks bit of a basic question compared to some of the current
discussions but I have a situation that I'd lie some advice on.

I have a program that I need to modify to allow calls to some additional
programs via function keys. Problem is there is not enough remaining
unused function keys available. That is F1 -> F24 are all in use, is
there any way in which to extend the range. ?

Thanks
