I sit corrected. Think I'll go for listing other function key options in
a separate window and let user select from this.

Thanks again.

To my knowledge ctrl is not a key known to the AS/400, never was
anyway... it has it's meaning in the screen emulation application but
not in DDS. My point was that using static means like function keys
which are limited in their presence in terms of number of keys is
delaying the execution... you will have to resort to menu's (as
suggested earlier) or by other means (one of which is suggested by me).

Success,
Cor

Thanks this sounds like a plan. Time constraints mean this option will
have to wait unfortunately but I like it. In the meantime think I'll go
with option of setting up the hex values for CTRL + Funct keys and
monitoring for these, unless I get some better advice.

Anybody know the hex mapping's for CTRL F1 -> F12 say ?

Cheers

If you group the program calls by function you might show the end-user a
window from which he can choose a program by radio buttons. This is
nicely scalable as well, because even when you would be able to use the
control alt and shift keys with the function keys you would eventually
run out of keys.

Just an idea,

Cor

Folks bit of a basic question compared to some of the current
discussions but I have a situation that I'd lie some advice on.

I have a program that I need to modify to allow calls to some additional
programs via function keys. Problem is there is not enough remaining
unused function keys available. That is F1 -> F24 are all in use, is
there any way in which to extend the range. ?

Thanks
