Has anyone run into size limitations using POI HSSF (not Excel's limit,
but the RPG interface)? I'm trying to write a program that generates 6
files with 2 worksheets each. The first three files are generated fine.
It gets to the fourth and throw an unknown java error. In the debugger,
each java object looks like an integer. The last method called that
works is createCell, which generates object 2,096,624. The call to
setCellType on that cell then throws the error. It's almost as if that
cell wasn't created because it ran out of handles.
I've also had the same problem with a single file multi-worksheet
program. The number of java objects hits a certain point and it throws
an unknown java error. That program has variable amounts of data so
sometimes it produces a spreadsheet, sometimes not. Again, not Excel's
limit, but something in the objects I think.
I'm a java newbie, so the handles thing is just speculation and it could
be something else. If anyone's solved this, or there's some environment
variable to set, I'd love to know.
TIA
