I think you need to decide how you want the data between the two system
to be moved.
You could:
Read a record from Firebird and write to DB2 for i5/OS from within RPG,
Java, or .Net.
You could use File Transfer or FTP.
There are about a dozen ways I can think of to do it.
Probably an idea about your programming or system skills would help
narrow the scope of options. Since you posted to the RPG list, you
could start by looking at Scott Klement's tools for accessing non DB2
database. It is the JDBCR4 Service Program -
